More features to show to people who are paranoid about batteries.
Though the native Android OS has not included this feature. Many OEMs have included battery status information in their custom software. So this is not new for android phones but just new for all android phones that didn’t have it before.

You know, that phone stops charging in the middle of the night, only to finish charging right before the alarm goes off. Xperia phones have it, as do Pixel phones. Xiaomi had it, but it doesn’t anymore, or only on some models.

Google should force manufacturers to make the charger kill the battery in new phones. That way, the phone runs off the charger and not the battery whenever it’s plugged in, with no battery wear when it’s plugged in. Also, this allows phones without batteries to run off their charger, which is handy for old phones, to be repurposed for many things.

Yes, they haven’t been forced to replace the battery or the phone, but somewhere deep in your brain it will always tell you that you need a new battery.
Just like the 5D 9H screen protector for example. Some people don’t care when it’s completely scratched from top to bottom and they will still feel that it can hold something more and some freak out their phone can crack because there is a small bubble that is barely visible to the naked eye.
So nobody pushes you but a voice inside you negotiates you.
It all depends on the personality, behavior and type of human being of the user.

You can set the battery charge limit up to 85 percent to protect your battery. Android 12 update provided this feature and this is available in my s10lite.

All right, t… moreOn my realme gt I dial *#899#, manual test, charge and discharge mode, charge and set the % I want there and press start. But like I said you can’t exit the app/screen otherwise the settings go back to normal and your phone will charge to 100%

Agree, this is what Android needs. It seems that Samsung is the only OEM currently adding a maximum charge limit.
