A group of local libraries are joining forces to once again provide a resource that many library users love.
South Portland Public Library is now partnering with eight others in the area to create a new interlibrary loan program.
The hope is to share resources, so you don’t have to travel to different libraries to find what you need.
This comes after a similar statewide service was put on pause last month over a contracting issue.
The hope is this new effort will only be a short-term solution until a larger one is found.
There’s no word yet when the program will start.
